Post-activity questions

Three or four questions after each session, and what the AI notes from the answers.

After a synced or imported activity, OpenAthlete can ask the athlete three or four short questions about the session: how it felt, fatigue, sleep, and any pain. The questions adapt to the session and to the injuries already logged.

Athletes answer them from the activity. A coach reads the answers on the athlete's activity.

What the AI notes

Once every question is answered, the AI reads the answers and the comment and looks for two things:

  • Pain or injury: where, how bad (out of 10) and whether it is getting worse, stable or better. It goes to the athlete's injury logs (Metrics) and to the coach dashboard's alerts.
  • RPE: the perceived effort, when the answers give one. It fills the activity's RPE, which the athlete can still change.

The activity shows what was noted under Noted by the AI: the pain it found, or that the answers mention none. Editing the answers analyses them again, and the new result replaces the previous one.

Turning it off

The questions and the analysis need AI: the athlete's own key, their coach's, or the instance's (see Self-hosting). The athlete, in Settings > Profile, or their coach, in the athlete's settings, can turn off AI feedback questions and analysis: nothing is then sent to the AI.
